Historical Background

Originally a part of Versailles, White Oak wasn’t incorporated until 1948. Suburban in nature, White Oak hasn’t experienced the drastic population loss found throughout other parts of the region.

West Newton Today

White Oak has a number of businesses and institutions along its two major thoroughfares found in Lincoln Way and Route 48. In addition to its many commercial establishments, one can pass their time at at one of the many recreational amenities found throughout town. The White Oak community park is a vast green landscape that allows its visitors a chance to relax and play. In the summer, residents can cool off at the Heritage Hill Pool found off of Victoria Drive.
